OBF was established as a collaborative platform to strengthen the capacity of indigenous communities, improve economic well-being, protect the environment, promote gender equality, enhance education, preserve local culture, and build effective development partnerships.

The name "Orange Bridge" reflects the organization's philosophy of serving as a "bridge of partnership" that connects indigenous communities, governments, educational institutions, religious organizations, the private sector, civil society, international donors, and United Nations agencies to realize inclusive and sustainable development. OBF applies approaches such as Results-Based Management (RBM), the Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA), Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI), Environmental Sustainability, Community Ownership, and Evidence-Based Programming, in line with practices commonly used by the UNDP (United Nations Development Programme), UN Women, the European Union, GIZ, DFAT Australia, USAID, and other international development agencies.

The Orange Bridge Foundation is committed to:

1. Fostering community economic growth through inclusive and sustainable business development.
2. Strengthening community capacity through education, training, innovation, and skills enhancement.
3. Preserving culture, local languages, and traditional knowledge as part of sustainable development.
4. Strengthening gender equality and the empowerment of women, as well as the protection of children, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups.
5. Supporting environmental conservation, sustainable natural resource management, and climate change adaptation and mitigation.
6. Developing strategic partnerships with government bodies, indigenous communities, religious organizations, the private sector, academic institutions, bilateral and multilateral donors, and international development organizations.
